My name is Li Ming. Today, I want to tell you a short English story called "The Little Rabbit and the Moon."
Once upon a time, there was a little rabbit named Xiao Hua. He loved looking at the moon every night. One day, he asked his mother, “Why is the moon so bright?” His mother smiled and said, “Because it shines with the light of the stars.”
Xiao Hua was very curious. He decided to go up to the moon to see it for himself. He climbed a tall tree, then jumped onto a cloud, and finally landed on the moon. But when he got there, he saw that the moon was not as bright as he thought. It was just a big rock.
He felt sad and wanted to go back home. But before he left, he met a friendly moon rabbit who told him, “The moon is beautiful because we can see it from far away. If you are too close, you may not enjoy its beauty.”
Xiao Hua learned a lesson that day. He realized that sometimes, things look better from a distance.
